Showing Your Love For Others.

Hey everyone I've been thinking about the word love. Because I really like the word and what it means to me. When you love someone you care about the all lot and you would do anything for them and you would do anything to protect them. Naruto is a perfect example I say he tries everyting that he can for the people that he trully loves for his family and for his friends. Jesus Christ was the same way with everyone he loved and adored. They both never gave up on anyone that they loved or cared for. They would do anything for everyone. Christ sacrifeced him self for the purpose of his fathers plan and he created the atonement. We can show our love for our Savior by kepping the comandments and by following all of what he has to say. When we do what is right the Savior shows his love by giving us blessings of what we need. He also show his love by:
16 ¶For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (John 3: 16-17)

Scriptures are a very Important tool

For the past couple of weeks I've been thinking about the scriptures and how they can bless our lives. When I think of the scriptures, I think of Jesus Christ and His teachings that He has brought to us. There are a lot of different types of scriptures, some of them are: the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, Pearl of Great Price, and the Bible. D. Todd Christoffersen said in General Conference: "The central purpose of all scripture is to fill our souls with faith in God the Father and in His Son, Jesus Christ." The scriptures enlarge our memory by helping us to remember the Lord and our relationship to Him and the Father. The scriptures also enlarge our memory by helping us not forget what we and earlier generations have learned. God uses the scripture to unmask erroneous thinking, false traditions, and sin with its devastating effects. The scriptures are the touchstone for measuring correctness and truth, and they make clear that real happiness lies not in denying the justice of God or trying to circumvent the consequences of sin but in repentance and forgiveness through the atoning grace of the Son of God. Scripture tutors us in principles and moral values essential to maintaining civil society, including integrity, responsibility, selflessness, fidelity, and charity. The word of God, as Alma said, is like a seed planted in our hearts thats produces faith as it begins to grow within us. Scriptural accounts of the faith of others serve to strengthen our own. Scriptures are revelation, and they will bring added revelation.

The Priesthood is the Power of God

The priesthood is one of the things I've been thinking about a lot because it has been a great blessing in my life and my family's life. The priesthood is a great blessing in your lives and it will help you through all of your trials that you may go through. The priesthood is the authority which allows us to act in God's name. It is the same priesthood that was on the earth when Jesus Christ was doing His ministry. He used it to establish His church and He gave it to his apostles. To have the priesthood in your life, you need to be worthy to have it and to use it. When Christ and his apostles were killed,  the priesthood was taken from the earth and the power of God was no longer on the earth because God's childern were not worthy to have the priesthood on the earth. Thomas S. Monson stated in the April General Conference, "The rights of the priesthood are inseparably connected with the powers of heaven...the powers of heaven cannot be controled nor handled only upon the principles of rightouesness. That they may be confferd upon us, it is ture; but when we undertake to cover our sins, or to gratify our pride, our vain ambition, or to exercise control dominion or compulsion upon the souls of the childern of men, in any degree of unrightouesness, behold, the heavens withdraw themselves; the sprit of the lord is grived; and when it is withdrawn, Amen to the priesthood or the authority of that man." (Doctrine and Covenants 121: 36-37)
This is a really cool movie about the power of the priesthood the power that we act in God's name.

Honesty and Integrity!

For the past two or three weeks I've been thinking about the word 'honesty.' Because I just love this word, it helps me think a lot about Christ and how to be kind of others. What does honesty mean?  Honesty means truthfulness, sincerity, and frankness. But what it means to me is when people trust me and want me to do more things for them and they will trust me with their kindness. When you are honest, you are building strength of character that will help you be of great service to the Lord and His childern. You will gain many blessings from being honest and one of those blessings is having a peace of mind and self-respect. Being honest will enhance your future opportunites and your abillity to be guided by the Holy Ghost. Integrity is also another thing I've been thinking about while I've been on my mission. Integrity means thinking and doing what is right at all times, no matter what the consequences. When you have integrity, you are willing to live by your standards and beliefs even when no one is watching. Integrity is being righteous from the very depths of your soul, not only in our actions, but more importantly, in our thoughts and in our heart. This video tells everything of how to be honest to others and to yourself.

Family a Great Blessing

I've been thinking about family for a long time since I've been on my mission. I'm glad that I have a family and that they care about me a lot, and that they love me for who I am. I'm glad that I have the gospel in my life because it has blessed me and my family. Plus, ever since I grew up in this gospel, my family has become bigger because this gospel is a family in itself and we as members try to help each other out any way we can. We show our love by helping our family members and others. Being part of a family is a great blessing. Your family can provide you with companionship and happiness, help you learn correct principles and, in a loving atmosphere, help you prepare for eternal life.

Pure love of Christ : Charity

Charity is one of the things that I've been thinking about a lot lately. What charity means to me is that we show this Christ-like atribute to people and that we can pass it along.  Mormon teaches us in the scriptures that charity is the "pure love of Christ."  Thomas S. Monson states, "I consider charity or the pure love of Christ to be the opposite of criticism and judging."  Charity compels us to be sympathetic, compassionate, and merciful, not only in times of sickness, affliction, and distress, but also in times of weakness and error on the part of others. When I have charity, people can see it in me and I can be a example to members and those who don't belong to the LDS church, and when they see me they try to be an example to their friends and family and try to pass that pure love of Christ along just like service. When we are tolerant of others, and lenient towards their actions, the kind of charity that forgives, and the kind of charity that is patient. Charity is having patience with someone that has let you down. Moroni teaches us in the scriptures in Moroni 7:48, "And charity suffereth long, and is kind and envieth not, and is not puffed up, seeketh not her own, is eviil, and rejoiceth not in iniquity but rejoceth in the truth, beareath all things hopeth all things, endureth all things."

Service for Others

Service is a really good word to think about. That's what I have done for the past three weeks so far because I just love doing service for others. True disciples of Jesus Christ desire to serve those around them.  When we are baptized, we make a covenant that we will take upon us the name of Jesus Christ. The prophet Alma explained this convenant to some converts.  He saw that their desire to "come into the fold of God" included their willingness to give meaningful service (Mosiah 18:8-9).  The most visible strength that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has is that we do unselfish service for our members and all other people.  The lives of the members of the Church, the service that they give to people, and the way that they show their love for people is the best symbol of Christ that we have to show people all over the world.  One cool way that we can do service, as members, is going to the temple and serving in there, showing our love for the people that walk in. We just need to have a smile on our faces every day. "When ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God." (Mosiah 2:17) As you strive to serve others, look to the Savior as your example.  Even though He came to the earth as the Son of God , He humbly served all those around Him.  He declared, "I am among you as he that serveth." ( Luke 22:27)
